On arrival at this hotel we were disappointed by the miserable man on the front desk, totally disinterested. We asked if our room was in a quiet part of the hotel as we had been aware of the street noise from other advice. We were assure we had been located in a good room. This was not the case, Second floor above the street, meant that the noise throughout the night kept us awake. The second night, the students staying in the next rooms started running up and down the corridors. To be fair once we asked to be moved we were given a good room, though we had to wait for hours for this, which meant our morning was wasted. Breakfast is terrible, the food pretty awful, but it was a mad scramble by ll the customers to grab the food, push people out of the way, no order, just complete chaos, the self service units were just way too small and led to near fights kicking off.

This is 3 stars hotel that is located in the heart of the Gotic area in Barcelona, close to every place or transportation mean that you would need. If you eat breakfast elsewhere, get a room on the fifth floor at the back or side of the hotel, then you will not be disappointed, The rooms were clean, a decent size with good shower/bathing facilities. So despite my complaints, now I have learnt more, I would still stay here again as the location for us was just perfect.
