We booked The President for a 4 day break to Venice. The room was very small but more than adequate and extremely comfortable. We always miss a bath when we are in Europe but the showers are normally really good and that was the one drawback of this room. It was a very old small shower with half doors that slid from the corners very noisily. The head though was fine and adequate. The breakfast was continental, self service and very good.
The distance from Venice was a little further than we expected but we bought a 3 day pass and it worked well. We had to get a bus to the station and then a vaparetto up the Grand Canal. The whole journey took about an hour but it was good to see different areas of the country and give a perspective of Venice that we wouldn't otherwise have had.
