Relaxation

The nearest airport is Holguin, about 1 hour's bus drive from the resort. There are 4 hotels sharing the same turquoise beach. The Playa Pesquero is an amazing and such a friendly hotel. Rooms are in blocks of around 10 rooms, all the upstairs rooms have balconies. Plenty of space in the room for two armchairs in addition to kingsize or queensize bed. Large light bathroom. The grounds are immense leading down to the beach. There is a train (no longer in use) outside the main reception and the entire resort is themed around the old steam trains used to transport the sugar cane. For those with limited mobility there are golf carts to transport guests to/from the restaurants, shops or beach area. The hotel has two huge buffet style self service restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner but in addition – at no extra cost – you can book into one of the other 6 restaurants on site which specialise in Italian, seafood, French, BBQ etc. for these it is expected that the men wear long trousers and the ladies dress up. there is also a 24-hour restaurant. They offer a wonderful buffet on 24th and 31st December. The main bar area is so large that you can get away from the noise and sit on one of the many sofas, rather than at small tables. The coffee bar, again themed as an old train wagon, serves a multitude of speciality coffees 24 hours a day. All the staff are very friendly and attentive. Really a 5 star experience!
