Reasons for trip

We travelled to Turkey with some trepidation. Firstly it was our 1st holiday with our daughter her husband and baby grandson 6 months old. We’d booked the holiday online so had no idea of the quality of the hotel and picked it purely from reading reviews .

We had booked directly with the owners of Hotel Oykun. On arrival at the airport we were met by the hotel’s private transfer service (extra charge) but well worth it as we arrived late at night and with a young baby, pushchair etc it was well worth it. We recieved a warm welcome on arrival and were quickly shown our rooms and were off to bed.

The Hotel being 3 star was a little tired in places but any little problems were quickly sorted by very friendly efficient staff. Two pools allowed older people and people with young babies to wallow in peace, whilst the larger pool provided fun and frolics for those more able, a nice pool bar and good food prices including an excellent buffet.

Only a five minute walk from the beach and local amenities. The Hotel Oykun was an excellent base from which to explore or just kick back and relax, we found it a very good friendly hotel and perfect for our mix of age ranges. Would definitely return.
