We are great fans of the Italian Lakes so a return visit to Gara was lovely. We have stayed in this hotel once before and loved it. The one downside of this visit was the fact that we did not get a balcony like we did the first time. You cannot book a balcony and I am told they are kept for repeat guests. However the hotel was lovely the food really good and Loris made sure we had everything we wanted in the dining room. If you did not like the choice he would try to get you something else. The location on the hotel is good if you like to stroll along the lake . The little wine shop oposite was lovely for local wines and the owner most informative. We enjoyed many of his wares. Our room was typically Italian (not meant for sitting about in) and was perfectly fine.
