Situated in the centre of Geneva just 5 minutes from the main railway station this hotel is well placed to be a prime stop over, Despite the name the Hotel is not Modern, the furnishings are tired and worn, the rooms noisy and levels of cleanliness are just acceptable. There is a very small lift which can fit 2 people so dont take large cases if you intend stopping here there is a steep circular staircase which can be hard work. The reception was pleasant and helpful, there is a room to leave bags until you leave which is a plus. We went B and B for a transit, breakfast was mediocre and the lady in charge gave no eye contact or acknowledgement, the food was plain and the dining room small, we ended up eating in the internet room. There is wifi in the hotel which is a plus. My best advice is to spend a little more and go elsewhere, the room was noisy and our sleep was poor, it needs a good revamp and aircon fitting, I would liken it to Barracks accommodation.
