I stayed here for two weeks in February. Absolutely beautiful and tranquil. Very warm for the time of year. Many birds could be spotted along the board walks and so it is very popular with bird lovers. The hotel is next to a nature reserve and near the river estuary.

The big downside – lots of biting insects. I was covered and had to call a Doctor out as they were so painful. The hairy processionary caterpillar! So be warned. their spores get carried in the breeze and if they land on your skin or clothes the rash is incredibly painful which did spoil my holiday – so, cover up and spray!!
