After our great stay last October, we were keen to see what the village of Sabinallis was like in January. We also had some business to deal with, so we used this as excuse to spend a few days in the family run Hotel Dona Luisa, which is situated on the promenade, close to the centre. The family have had a new addition, so we started our stay by being introduced to the three month old Joachim! During our brief stay the sun shone for most of the time. It was necessary to wear a light jacket during the day and there was a slight chill in the evening as you might expect with a clear sky. It was not quite beach weather, but it was very pleasant to stroll along the surf line or the promenade. For those who like something more than a gentle stroll thereare many golf courses nearby and probably sailing/boating from the nearby Duquesa marina. Most of the restaurants and cafes were open, including the one run by the hotel, so it was easy to get fed and watered! Our business was finished all too quickly and we had to return to Malaga airport (you can also use Gibraltar) which is about 45 minutes to the east. We shall be going back in March, because, as usual, the standard of service, friendliness and quality of rooms remains at a very high standard.
