The location is superb – right in the centre making it easy to walk to all the tourist destinations.

We upgraded to the deluxe executive panorama room with stunning views of Florence from windows on all four sides of the room. You could lie in bed and see ‘Brunelleschi’s Cathedral Dome. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, well equipped and had a very comfortable huge round bed.

The only downside of this room was that it was on the fifth floor and the lift was so noisy and juddery that I wouldn’t go in it again which meant walking up nearly 150 steps each time we wanted to go to our room. Helped work off all the extra calories we were having with all the excellent food though!

On the first night we ate in the hotel’s Santa Elisabetta Restaurant and had a really enjoyable evening served by two really friendly waiters, Claudio and Simone, who gave us excellent advice on the food and wine. This is a beautiful restaurant in an ancient Byzantine tower. We enjoyed the meal so much that we booked in again for our last night. Once again the food was excellent and the service and friendliness of our waiter, Simone, absolutely made our evening.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of good foods to choose from.

Would love to stay in this hotel again.
