This lovely hotel has only been open for a year but has already developed a fantastic reputation. It is ideally located for all the major sights in the Sultan Ahmed area, and the excellent tram system for trips further afield.
Its main attraction is the very high quality of all the staff – they go out of their way to offer assistance, taking you straight into the bar on arrival to brief you on the area around.
The rooms are very comfortably fitted and decorated and the extra space in a deluxe room is probably worth the extra charge. Rooms include fabulously comfortable bed, tea/coffee making, iPod dock/speakers, flat-screen TV, mini-bar, good sized safe and (if requested) wonderful oversized rain shower (instead of bath).
The only downside? The promoted spa (sauna and jacuzzi) is so small that they only allow it to be booked (early each day) by couples/small groups – ie it isn’t available casually. However, a pleasant traditional hammam is available very nearby (as well as the very large commercial ones you will see advertised)!
