Having spent a peaceful few days in old- fashioned Cromer, we decided to take a trip out to Horsey Bay some 20 miles further south. After tackling some narrow windy roads we arrived at the Horsey bay car park ( £3 for 2 hours) . From there it is a short sandy walk to the beach and, very quickly, a glimpse of the first seals curiously inspecting us from the waters edge. As we walked further along the beach there were more and more seals in the water and beached on the sand. The ones on the sand were busy practising their Pilates moves or getting on each other’s nerves. The ones in the sea seemed to be playing or watching us as we were watching them. After time on the beach we went to nearby Poppylands for an excellent sandwich lunch.
