Reasons for trip

We chose Home Place after randomly searching online to go away for my birthday. We struck gold. Home Place is in a teenie village on Exmoor which is really pretty and even has a ford … super good if you have a 4 wheel drive like us. The accommodation is in converted barns and stables. Ours was a gorgeous little cottage, it had one bedroom, two shower rooms (unsure why two but all good) a kitchen with dining table and little lounge which had two gorgeous arm chairs and a log burner! I love log burners! Our package included breakfast and dinner on one night so the first night we walked to the pub The Black Venus – totally lush food and very nice atmosphere. Breakfast in the morning was delivered in a big box by the owner – absolutely delicious cooked breakfast. The second evening they delivered our meal cooked by them – beef Bourgignon. It was fantastic absolutely delicious! They also as the name suggests have a Spa. It’s a converted barn and has a pool with jets in, a jacuzzi end, steam room and sauna. Totally fantastic and you can also book treatments. I highly recommend this gorgeous peaceful and relaxing place which is amazing value for money. Oh and it’s adults only!!
