Reasons for trip

Visited Hollingworth Lake for the first time this weekend. It was a bank holiday so was very busy but we still had a great time. We parked in the car park by the boatyard and decided to have a walk around the lake. It was quite a long walk but we were able to break it up by stopping for a drink at one of the pubs that surround the lake. Also lots of benches to rest the legs on. Some beautiful views to look at . Half way round is a cafe with a bit of a beach for any children and again a chance to rest the legs. Do full circle and there are lots of nice cafes and wine bars to sit outside and enjoy the sun . We opted to visit the fish restaurant which was very nice and also very reasonable.
