I used to regularly stay at Holiday Inns in various locations for work but this hotel takes the prize for the Holiday Inn with the best facilities, bedroom layout and excellent breakfast!

Located on the main road in Jesmond, you could easily drive past as the usual Holiday Inn signage has been dampened down but once located, it is easy to find the (free) underground parking and then take the lift to the reception desk.

The staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble.

The bedroom did not have usual Holiday Inn layout, there was a large (somewhat slippy) shower rather than the usual bath with shower over it, fridge with complimentary juice, water and chocolate, free internet access and all the electrical equipment you could possible need.

We enjoyed a relaxed dinner at what we thought was the restaurant next door to the hotel but was actually part of the hotel and breakfast was served in this area. Breakast was excellent with a wide variety of freshly prepared fruit, juices and a full english buffet with toast and hot drinks delivered by the staff.

Located within easy walking distance from the Metro, I am told that it is only a ten minute walk into Newcastle. As Arnie likes to say "we'll be back"!
