We stayed at the Holiday Inn Elstree in November. We received a warm welcome from the reception staff and found our room easily. We were at the back of the hotel, and this room was quiet and clean, and the bathroom was more spacious than I had expected. Nice toiletries available. The bed was firm but comfortable, but the pillows were in need of changing we thought. The hotel is on a busy roundabout, but we did not have any problems with noise from the roads around us. The dining room was spacious, and the staff were polite and gave good advice on food and wines. To get to the station, we had to book a taxi, which cost us £10-00. It was rush hour and the roads were busy. This was a convenient stop for anyone travelling down the A1 to London and the area round Brent Cross. Went to a lovely restaurant called Amaretta in Edgeware for an evening meal.
