HIX Glasgow airport … has had a recent ‘refit/makeover’ which I wasn’t too sure about on our last visit … now convinced! The wee 2 seater settee with mini work desk (with adjacent power points) works fine for me – some might prefer a straight-back chair if lots of work to do? … double bed seems wider than previous version, though might be just a much better bed? …iron and ironing board … hairdryer with power socket alongside the full length mirror (not an issue for me lol)… good shower room and toilet. Restaurant … liked the option of sweet potato fries with my burger but didn’t eat the top half of the brioch bun (too fluffy) … reception and checkout pleasant and efficient … airport area undergoing some development/roadworks so need to follow pedestrian walk signs from domestic arrivals area, beside the ‘Glasgow Flyer’ bus stop … still only a few minutes walk …‘quick start’ buffet breakfast from 4 a.m. (continental) 6 a.m (hot) included in room price. Room is for one or two persons plus sofa bed for children if required (works well for us if have grandchild with us).
