Whilst staying in Guernsey, we caught the ferry across to Herm. Stunning beautiful. Blessed with a perfect day we throughout enjoyed the cruise between the islands.
We disembarked at a small jetty faced with a steep walk up to the top. Not a problem for us but was for some. I think there may have been some sort of buggy to take people up the hill but worth checking if mobility problems.
We walked all around the island. Small but very varied coast. Stunning wide sandy bays on one side and rugged cliffs the other.
I challenge you not to find your inner child on shell beach. We acted as five year olds trying to find as many of the 50 different miniature shells on the beach!! Good fun!
The other side we were so lucky to see and here puffins, but not in Puffin bay !! A bit further along the coast!
Tip – take your own picnic or avoid buying at pub in main hub of island. SO busy! A few smaller kiosks with snacks at the different bays.
Whilst many people on the island it was very easy to find a quiet corner.
Just enjoy!
