The hotel was originally built as a country club in the days of the Raj. The spacious accommodation is in chalets set in shaded gardens. Each chalet has a huge en suite shower room with rough granite flooring leading onto its own small shaded courtyard. The staff were very friendly and polite. We dined al fresco at the restaurant which is situated next to an ancient banyan tree said to be 300 years old. We enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere and really wished we could have stayed longer.
