If you love reading, sharing ideas and having fun, you will feel at home in Hay-on-Wye at festival time.

Every year at the end of May, book lovers and authors gather in a small town on the Welsh-English border to share stories and tales from all around the world and to celebrate the power of ideas. Marquees, large and small, are dotted around the verdant green festival site and fill with a new group of eager listeners every hour or so throughout the day.

The site of the Hay Festival site lies a short stroll from the centre of town which is famous for its many second-hand bookshops. Delicious locally grown food will keep your energy levels up and the countryside is a dream.

A wonderful place to restore mind, body and soul…!
