A miniature railway has been running along the sea front since 1948 and is still as popular today. The main station with turntable, water tower, loco shed and workshop is at Rock-a-Nore by the net shops. From here, the railway runs along the Strade to Marine Parade Station at the western end of the Old Town, just past the boating lake and fun fair.
The line is 600 yds long. At a gauge of just 10.25 inches, carriages are small and not really designed for large adults with long legs! This is more for the kids. Trains are pulled by a mix of steam locos and diesels.
