Reasons for trip

Living in a small town there’s not much for children to do, there are a few parks but you might not want to go out in the rain or cold weather so Happy Daze is the ideal place to go. Children under a year are free and there’s a small area for children under 3 with a slide, and a few other age appropriate toys. Older children are all charged the same rate £4.50 term time, £5 weekends and school holidays. However they do an after school club £5 entry which comes with either a hot meal or a sandwich box. Meals are limited but are at a fair price and they have a wide range of hot and cold drinks. Entry is free for adults. For the older kids there is a large climbing frame with a big slide and there are two ball pits, one in the younger area. They also do various activities during the week and do seasonal parties. They also hold birthday parties from £10 a head, although they do offers occasionally. As Happy Daze is the only play centre in Darwen it hasn’t any competition, the nearest similar place is in Blackburn, but if you haven’t a car it’s not easy to get to. Most people with kids who live in Darwen will have probably been to HD and Darwen would be a poorer place without it.
