We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the airport, cruise port and Sea World, as we needed access to each one during our stay. The Hampton also offered a complimentary shuttle bus to/from the airport and the cruise port. Sea World was easily accessible by the frequent No.9 bus which could be picked up around the corner and cost just $2:25 each way and took about 10 mins. Possibly not in the nicest area if you don't have a car and need to venture out to eat at night. Apart from a Denny's, which is just across the street, you have to pass some sex shops & strip joints to get to the other restaurants. The shuttle bus was dispatched promptly when I phoned the hotel that I was through customs. Pick up is just across the street from terminal 2 and is the same place where the car rental vans pick up. We were greeted warmly by reception and as you can now check in and chose your room on line, it was a very speedy process. I also found the reception staff very helpful when I required a bit of local knowledge. Our room was a good sized and well equipped with the exception of not having a safe. The room was clean and comfortable but looked a little tatty in places. The bed was very comfortable but we were disturbed a couple of times in the night by other guests, the walls appear to be very thin. The rate included a buffet breakfast and although the quality of food was fine, the polystyrene plates and the plastic knives & forks made it seem like a very low budget affair. OK for a couple of nights but I wouldn't chose to stay here any longer if I didn't have access to a car.
