As a member of Historic Royal Palaces, I booked to go on a Roof Top Tour of Hampton Court Palace. I was fortunate to have picked a beautiful sunny day and it was a spectacular experience, seeing not only the intricacies of the roof construction, but also some magnificent views. The two guides were very informative. I had never been to Hampton Court Palace and Gardens before and I found it a fascinating place to visit. There are costumed performances as well and all the staff are very friendly. I would thoroughly recommend this attraction for both adults and families, even without the rooftop tour, although there are quite a lot of steps to climb so it would be trickier for the less mobile.
