Chose this hotel because we got a great flight & stay deal with BA & normally the Hilton family are a pretty safe bet. This is a large business focussed hotel but OK for tourists. On the plus side it's easy to find, close to stations on the U-Bahn & S-Bahn. A taxi from Tegal airport is less than 20 Euros. Efficient check in & (Stephanie) was very helpful in providing us with local maps & details of the welcome card & open top bus tours etc (we bought both from the hotel). Rooms are spacious, well fitted & clean. Tea & Coffee making facilities, flat screen TV & desk. Really comfortable bed & powerful shower with shampoo, conditioner & shower gel provided (all helps if you're tight on your weight allowance). Free wireless internet access in room & throughout the hotel. The PCs in the lobby are also free if you don't bring your own machine. The hotel was full when we stayed but it never seemed crowded, lots of space. Breakfast was included & was self service. Quite as good choice & enough to get you started for the day. Some reviews I read talked about nearby building work but that is all finished now.

Negative points: We asked for adjacent rooms with our friends but although we were assured this was the case on arrival, when we went to the rooms later in the day they were some way apart. The guy on reception wasn't interested in sorting this out as the hotel was full & managed a grudging apology. Worth saying he was the exception to an otherwise very helpful & friendly staff who spoke excellent English. The hotel doesn't do meals other than breakfast, so you have to eat out (no problem as there are loads of restaurants nearby). It is right on top of the railway line, so there is some noise from that even though it is efficiently double glazed. Probably not great for a very light sleeper but it didn't bother us, we slept well throughout our stay. There is no in room safe but safe deposit boxes are available at reception. There is no drawer space in the room, but not too much or an issue on a short break.

Overall I'd recommend this hotel for a short city break in Berlin & would probably stay here again if we came back & could get the same deal with BA (bargain).
