Having waxed lyrical about the “Halo Fizz Bar”:http://www.stanstedairport.com/at-the-airport/restaurants/halo/ when I flew solo from Stansted, I just had to take my partner when we flew recently to Athens.
The “menu”:http://mag-umbraco-media-live.s3.amazonaws.com/1027/7359-halo-food-menu-breakfast-mains-0716-web.pdf menu has changed slightly and there were no bacon rolls on offer which was a little disappointing. It is now seafood focused, but there are three Croques to chose from and we shared a Croque Monsieur for £10 which was plenty for the two of us. When we asked for a second knife and fork, the friendly girl provided another plate and asked if we’d like a little more of the salad garnish.
Although it was very early in the morning, I don’t think its ever too early for fizz and we both had a glass of prosecco extra dry for £7. Because we’d fast tracked through security, we even had time for another before boarding our Ryanair flight when we sat back and snoozed. A perfect way to start our trip!
