Reasons for trip

About a 45 minute drive from Wolfville in Nova Scotia, Canada Hall’s Harbour is a tiny settlement of just a few houses, a lobster shed and a small shop/ café/restaurant. Located on the Bay of Fundy on the coast of Nova Scotia this isolated harbour has one of the highest tides in the world. People come from all over the world to sit and eat lobster in the café and watch one of the most amazing phenomena in the world. The experience starts with a chance to select your own lobster and then go on a short tour of the lobster pound when you can find out more about the lobsters in the area and the spectacle of the tides. There is a wide range of dishes to choose from, as well as lobster, including locally caught fish and burgers. The fresh lobsters come with instructions on how to eat them and a bib! There is a small shop where you can buy a range of different goods. The Lobster Pound eating arrangements are both informal and reasonably priced. Just take yourself off to Halifax, hire a car , and take to the road as the coastline, small country towns and various harbours are quite stunning.
