My husband and I had a very nice break at the Hallmark Hotel Carlisle. After a successful day at the Carlisle Races it was great to book into this friendly hotel. Our bedroom was spacious with a flat screen TV and free WiFi. The bathroom was well supplied with toiletries and unlimited roasting hot water. Best of all however was the restaurant. We had a delicious starter and dessert each and although the main course was a bit disappointing overall the evening meal was very good. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold dishes and our smoked haddock and poached eggs were perfect. Last but not least the young staff were warm and friendly and nothing seemed to much for them.
