We have recently visited this National Trust property. This is a charming property with a manor house, gardens, parkland walks, mizmaze , shop and tea room. There is also a tower which can be climbed but beware the steps are extremely steep.
It was a beautiful spring day when we visited. The gardens are lovely but were not at there best as it was so early in the season. In the white garden we observed newts in the pond. We walked the miz maze and climbed the tower to enjoy the view.
The manor house is small but most interesting, and the 280 acres of parkland have walks where you can enjoy the birdsong and wild flowers. There is also a donkey wheel, as being on a hill top the well had to be dug to a depth of 200ft.
This was my first visit to this property and I would definitely visit it again in future.
