Reasons for trip

Enjoyed a blissful spa day at Grayshott – from the warm welcome when we arrived to our all too soon departure. It can be as active or relaxing as you choose and we opted for the latter. There are several exercise classes on offer daily, including walks around the lovely grounds, but the impressive list of treatments from prescriptive to beauty and lifestyle therapies are very attractive. They are rather expensive but after enjoying an Indian Head and Shoulder massage I came away feeling it was definitely worth it. The consultant was very professional and it was a most pleasurable treatment.

This lovely old manor is tastefully furnished with a steam room ,sauna, plunge pool and quiet relaxation room. Great swimming pool and hydrotherapy pool – although we found the water on the cool side. There's a plentiful supply of towels and a cosy robe and slippers are provided. A good choice of complimentary drinks are also available. We loved our 3-course buffet lunch in the elegant dining room with garden views. It was healthy cuisine but there was so much choice. The waiters were very efficient replacing the bottled water and answering some of our questions about the food.

Before leaving we had time to chill in the large comfortable lounge by the fire and read from a good choice of newspapers and magazines. We spoke to some residents who live there and to others who had come on a 2 day break – there are several packages available. . Altogether a wonderful time at this spa which deservedly has an excellent reputation.
