Personal / family celebration

On checking in, we were upgraded as my partner had informed hotel of my 60th birthday. What a cosy place, the decor was superb in the reception area and the stained glass windows in the lounge area were exceptional. I can't begin to tell you about the wood carvings and ceilings. Like visiting a country home. How the other half lived. The room was quite adequate once we had turned the heating down! The breakfasts were 'help yourself' but any eggs could be cooked to order.

All in all a birthday I will never forget.
