We arrived at around 10pm and were very pleasantly suprised to find that the hotel had left a meal for us in our room which consisted of salad, bread, cheese and meat as well as a bottle of water and a small bottle of wine. Very thoughful of them. We had a good sized room over looking the front of the hotel and I must say that we have never stayed in such a spotless room. The bathroom and bedroom were immaculate and were so on each day of our stay.
The hotel had spectacular views looking over the bay of Sorrento. There was a bus stop outside where you could catch a bus to Sorrento or in the other direction to Capri. The hotel also had a free shuttle bus which took you down into Sorrento.
We had a meal in the hotel every evening and you could choose from meat, fish or vegetarian. There werethree courses and a large salad bar. We could not fault the food and enjoyed a lovely steak one evening as well as tasty fish. The waiter also took pity on my husband and he was given two puddings each night! The house wine was only 9 Euros a bottle which we though was very good, considering it was a hotel.
The staff were very friendly and so helpful, pointing out where to go for sightseeing, small bars to visit and how to return to the airport in Naples. They spoke very good English and we also had the luxury of free wi fi in the downstairs area of the hotel.
There was a swimming pool and a very pleasant pool attendant who brought towels and laid out chairs for you.
The hotel was quiet, no door slamming or loud voices at night. I think most people turned in after their evening meal, though we usually took a short walk into the local village and had a beer or a coffee.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and would visit the hotel again. The hotel had lovely gardens and there was always somewhere quiet where you could sit if you needed to do so. Highly recommended.
