Relaxation

Walk straight out of the hotel and on to the white sandy beach of Seven Mile Beach – amazing! The hotel was spacious and comfortable. The staff never invasive but always ready to help, with a friendly smile and courteous service. The food was amazing, plentiful, and varied. The buffet breakfast was so good we seldom ate lunch. Watch the omelette of your choice being cooked, or have pancakes instead, freshly made for you. If you couldn't find something to enjoy foodwise, you're fussy in the extreme. Our room was very spacious. We booked a twin bedded and got a twin double-bedded with a very spacious bathroom, a seaview, fridge, drinks making facilities etc. Couldn't have asked for better. The inner courtyard is deliciously cool to sit in during the afternoon heat, and the lizards that live amongst the palm trees there take little notice of the guests. Air conditioning throughout the hotel was great as the weather was quite hot. there were two coolers of water (with fresh lemons or fresh limes) available all day long for the guests. Reception were extremely helpful and patient whenever I needed information and even made a few calls without cost for me.

We loved the island, the laid back attitude hid the most accommodating people I have ever met – nothing was too much trouble. We took the local bus service to the Botanical Gardens and our driver came back to pick us up at a time to suit us!!! We booked a morning trip around the island and when the bus turned up there was only us going – we had our own private tour – now where else would you get that – they would just cancel if that was the UK! We found Georgetown a little too commercialised with all the jewellery shops etc, but get off the beaten track and find the real Cayman. We loved the people there and found plenty of warm hearted folks who loved to sit and chat. A truly relaxing holiday, with gorgeous weather, hot and sunny with delicious cooling showers every now and again. It was more expensive that most places I have visited, eating out, but there are a lot of inexpensive places if you go search the off the track places. ~All in all, stunning! I would love to go back.
