We had decided to treat our two sons and girlfriend to an exotic holiday in the sun, to escape the cold of the British winter, and to hopefully find paradise in Mexico. There were five of us travelling, and this holiday had a big ask all round! My two boys, in their mid twenties, love action packed extreme sports, whilst my husband and I love walking, bird watching, swimming, and also being adventurous. COULD THIS HOTEL DELIVER? The answer YES! YES! YES! As the coach turned into the hotel entrance, we were wowed by the wonderful grounds, which were immaculately tended with all kinds of tropical plants. The grounds men worked tirelessly, even replanting plants that they had propagated. The hotel is so Eco friendly, because it is located in the jungle, they pride themselves on conservation and Eco issues, it really shows. The checking in process at reception was quick and informative and we were soon being driven in a golf buggy to our accommodation. We had requested to be next to our family, to also be near the beach, and also to have mattress toppers on the beds! They ticked all these boxes and more! We had a jacuzzi bath, two queen sized beds and a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. We felt so spoilt! There were coffee facilities in the room, and a fridge filled with cold drinks. This was all refilled each day at no extra cost. We found one of many restaurants that evening which we could eat at. This was an all inclusive resort so you could take advantage of a wide variety of themed restaurants. We found our buffet restaurant had loads of choice, and even our normally fussy boys found the choice amazing! We had bad jet lag so went to bed early, but slept well. The room was really quiet and comfortable. We woke early, and decided to explore the resort , just as the sun was rising. WOW! The white powder beach was immaculately raked, with sun beds arranged under thatched sun umbrellas. No need to fight for a sun bed here! There were so many, but not all in dreadful rows, just presented well. We walked along the beach to be staggered by beautiful pelicans flying onto the boats , and sea, right next to us. It was just amazing to watch them dive into the water catching small fish. We felt so close to nature, it was so special. The hotel offered everyone so much choice. You could easily have had enough to do just staying in the hotel for the week, with a water sports section offering jet skis, canoes, catamarans, deep sea fishing etc. There were endless swimming pools, all crystal clear, and very few people using them. A market, selling Mexican crafts was located on site too. But for us, we went to see Mexico, not just an all inclusive hotel, so we forced ourselves away from our peach of a hotel, to have numerous adventures in the local area. We were not to be disappointed either!
