Reasons for trip

My husband and I recently spent 2 nights in Reykyavik and booked a Golden Circle small group tour through The tour was a bit expensive but was well worth it to experience the most popular attractions within a short space of time.

The tour was 11 hours starting at 8.30am and included visits to Thingvellir, Geysir, Gulfoss and Kerid crater, finishing with a relaxing couple of hours at the Blue Lagoon.

The tour was well organised with a great tour guide. We were picked up at bus top number 1 (buses are not allowed into the centre of Reykavik) and after a couple more pick ups we were on our way.

At each stop we were given free time to explore on our own, all stops were great but my favourite was Geysir, it was amazing to see it gush out of the ground- be careful not to stand too close or you will get wet!

Warm clothing, a hat, and good walking shoes are required for this trip, it’s not for the less mobile.

A great day and highly recommended.
