Sunday lunch for a party of 10 – the restaurant provided excellent organisation and service to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. I booked by email so it was easy to arrange in advance (you are advised to book for Sunday lunch) and they offered to present the birthday cake at the end of lunch if we wanted to take one with us.
The great thing about the menu was all main courses were £10 each and all desserts £5.50 so it was easy to share out amongst a group. There is a choice of roast beef and lamb plus fish and vegetarian options. The best though were the desserts – even grandson William who is a bit picky about food said the cheesecake was the best he had ever had – wow! We did photograph the desserts as they were so good, including Eton Mess, crème brulee and a Welsh cheeseboard.
It was excellent value, really nice atmosphere and a lovely venue so definitely worth a special journey.
