Just returned from a great relaxing break at Forest Holidays, this time was a 4 night stay in a Golden Oak Cabin in the woods. Very easy check in and lovely staff, on arriving we were welcomed by a lovely warm cabin which was great, everything was clean and tidy with all you need to have a great break.
We had a lovely Hot Tub on the patio which was used every day, great for relaxing in after a long walk in the surrounding area. There is plenty of activities on offer if you want to join in but we did find them pretty expensive so did not use. A shop on site for basics and a cafe. This was used on a daily basis to pick up our emails as there is no wifi in lodge unless you pay extra. The cafe served meals which we did not try but we did have an afternoon cream tea which was lovely.
A short stroll away 10 mins is the New Inn which serves meals although slightly dearer than the Cafe on site we found the meals very good. They also have a restaurant open in the evening but we did not try this.
Overall a lovely break away and would certainly go back, we have also stayed at the Norfolk site, also good although not as big. I would say the next time I would go for the Silver Birch as the only difference is you get a wood burner stove which we did not need to use.
