I was lucky enough to win this holiday including flights, and breafast. The hotel certainly had the WOW! factor. Because we arrived 8pm US time – 1am GMT, we decided just to eat at the hotel, we went to the Italian restaurant there – I chose spaghetti, my husbnd chose ravioli, when the dishes arrived they were not particularly hot, but we were hungry and tired so ate without fuss. On exiting the restaurant we were asked what we thought, so did mention the problem, the lady asked why we hadn't complained – I pointed to my watch still on GMT and said we are tired! 20% was deducted from the bill which would have been $68! The room was well furnished with 2 x 5 ft beds, a large flatscreen TV and an iMac computer with free Wi-Fi. The free Wi-Fi applied to the room, so included my iPad. The breakfast (normally $71 for the 2 of us) could have spoilt us for life! starting the morning with smoked salmon among other delicacies! When settling up, I noticed too late that we'd been charged $10 for 8 oz peanuts!!!! I must have knocked the jar on the chargeable bar! The hotel was situated near the Altantic, we caught buses when we weren't doing an excursion. The swimming pool, which we did not use, looked very tempting. Round the pool were personal gazebos that seemed to have televisions in them. There were a lot of functions going on at the hotel which we did not attend. The staff were very helpful, one disappointment – there was no kettle in the room!
