We stopped in at “Flissy’s Coffee Shop”:http://www.flissyscoffeeshop.co.uk/ after a walk on Thurstaston Beach and highly recommend it. The café is dog friendly – we had two puppies with us. There were dog bowls at various heights outside and treats for sale inside. The café is larger than it looks and extends quite far back inside. We were a group of five adults and one toddler and received great service. You order your food at the counter and they deliver it to the table. There are tables outside as well as inside.
Our order included the tuna sandwich with salad and crisps; Welsh rarebit special; roasted pepper soup and cheese sandwich; ham and cheese Panini; jacket potato with cheese and bacon and salad; and home-made chicken nuggets with chips and beans for the little one. The bread was lovely and fresh, the coffees were lovely and everyone enjoyed their meals. It certainly hit the spot after the walk in the bracing wind and sunshine.
