Fire & Stone Italian Restaurant, near to Covent Garden and the Duchess Theatre.
This was a 2 course meal pre-booked and paid for with our theatre tickets, great value at £10.50 each. There was limited but good choice from the set menu including pizza, pasta or salad plus a starter or dessert.
We had a shared starter of bread and dips, then a hot chilli pizza for Leslie and a tomato & peppers pasta for me. Really tasty, especially the pasta which actually had a rich tomato and peppers sauce that lifted it above the often bland option you get. The chilli pizza is too hot for me – makes my tongue tingle and swell before I have even bitten into it! – but my husband loved it.
It was great service, very friendly staff and a good meal option that meant we just paid for a bottle of wine and the tip on the night. We would definitely go for this option again.
