Farmer Ted's near Ormskirk, Lancashire is a working farm full of activities for the younger family members, there is ample free parking on the site. At £5.50 per adult and £7.50 per child it isnt going to break the bank for a nice day out. The grounds are well drained even when its wet and most of the activities are inside large barns. You can meet the Llamas, feed the lambs, handle the rabbits and guinea pigs, groom ponies watch the birds of prey display and take part in the sheep racing to name but a few things to do. There are a number of covered barns which hold play equipment if its raining and also seasonal displays for Halloween, Christmas and the like. For eating there is Farmer Ted's grill which is clean, tidy and cheap, if you are really luck you get a fine day and you can take a picnic to one of the many tables sited around the farm. All in all its a lovely day out when you have youngsters with you. The site is level however access can be limited in some areas for those in wheelchairs due to fencing and gates.
