Castell Coch, Castle Coch in English is a rebuilt 15th century castle, the Red Castle, because of the stone colour, by the Marquis of Bute, using the same designer as he did for Cardiff Castle. It is a beautiful fairytale castle in the woods, on a hillside. Incredible interiors, straight out of legends. You can imagine riding up there on horseback, over the drawbridge, with knights in armour and damsels dancing to the minstrels lyres. Perfect for the whole family to escape to.
