Having taken the Indian Pacific train from Sydney to Adelaide we looked for a small group tour to drive back and experience, in particular, the Great Ocean Road. Our travel agent recommended Australian National Treasures Touring which takes 2-8 people over 3 days and 2 nights between Adelaide and Melbourne. It turned out that while 6 people had taken the outbound to Adelaide, there were just the two of us for the return journey. As it happened, our driver/guide was also the owner of the business which he had built up over 22 years. The journey introduced us not only to the Great Ocean Road but old towns, wildlife, volcanic lakes and sink holes! With only us on board he was happy to adjust what we saw on the way. As an example, we missed out the winery visit and added a visit to a golf course to see the local kangaroos up close. The hotels were outstanding with great food and wine. We really could not have asked for more.
