Each year my sister and I take Mum away for her birthday. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find somewhere to suit her needs as she becomes older. However Ettington Chase couldn't have been bettered in any way. Beautiful grounds, extremely comfortable accommodation and the most accommodating restaurant I have ever encountered. The staff, under the guidance of Stuart the Hotel Manager, were friendly and attentive. As we were anxious about Mum's needs I had contacted Stuart via email before booking and he made everything so easy and nothing was too much trouble. I don't want to list the things but ALL OUR CONCERNS was resolved.
Although we didn't use the leisure facilities there was a pool and gym which seemed to be well used. It is a large hotel and used mainly as a conference centre in the week but we were totally unaware of the comings and goings of corporate areas. The set menu was enticing and the daily specials kept it varied and interesting. In the four days we were there we didn't have anything that wasn't well cooked, beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The wine was expensive but only what you would expect to pay in a hotel. The inclusive cost of this break was amazing and I could keep talking about all that this hotel and it's staff did for us but suffice to say they were all amazing and I really can't recommend this hotel enough.
