This is newly built next to the Ibis hotel and due to be the Ibis Budget Hotel. Ideal location just outside the Departures door (at the monorail end of the a airport), cross the road and the entrance is round to the left. Pre-book online, pay on arrival, and arrange breakfast if you want at £5.95 each – not tried this time as ours was a very early flight. It was perfect for us as we arrived by train directly from Aberystwyth to Birmingham International, up stairs to monorail, then Ross Road to hotel. Friendly efficient reception with all booking details correct and to hand (we usually use booking.com). We arrived in plenty of time to get return train ticket back into centre of Birmingham for the shops, a meal, and a play or the cinema. It is a no frills budget hotel but note this one is much better than the Etap we stayed in in Cardiff where the loo was a cupboard that you had to reverse into in order to close the door! The room we had was next to the lift with disabled-friendly large bathroom. It was quiet, clean and excellent value(£49) in an ideal location. Arriving back very late on 4thApril so will try out the breakfast next time.
