Situated 2 miles outside Kolymbia on Rhodes, Epta Piges is a lovely cool retreat from the sun. If travelling on public transport you need to catch a taxi from the bus stop or walk, it's uphill and hot, but we enjoyed the walk up to the springs. There is no entry fee for this site, there is also a 180m tunnel which runs from just past the springs which are sited by the restaurant under the hill to the old dam area. It is narrow and about 6' in height, by narrow I mean shoulder width, the river flows along the bottom of the tunnel but it's only a few inches deep. There is also an escape hatch 2/3 of the way along, it's extremely dark but enjoyable. At the dam there are fish and frogs, we didn't see any sign of the turtles that were supposed to be in the area, there is also a nice forest walk. The restaurant is by the springs, it's fairly expensive, there is also a snake house at the side. There are clean toilets and a small playground and ample free parking.
