Relaxation

Just spent 5 days at this hotel and must say having been to Benidorm and other 4 star resorts this was the pits. Entertainment consists of one woman playing a organ one night a week and sounds like Manuel from Fawlty Towers, or a karaoke in the upstairs bar one night a week, so if you are not there during them days your're stuffed. Ok there maybe loads of entertainment in Benidorm but when you pay all inclusive the least you expect is a comedian, a parrot show or some flamenco dancers, not asking a lot really. There is a lady who does her best to entertain the little ones but it really is not what you would expect off a four star establishment. Bottled water 1 euro from behind the bar, no water machines anywhere, no tea or coffee machines anywhere apart from behind bar, at dinner no tea coffee pop machines on queue at bar. Food basic 2 star definitely not 4 star, we tried the restaraunt twice, both times I ate tinned fruit cocktail and peaches, couldn't find anything I liked or kids liked. Indoor heated swimming pool is something that should not be boasted about, it is not a swimming pool it is actually a spa, a spa where you can swim in lanes but children cannot play, also you have to wear socks and hat and have to pay the spa for them. Satellite tv = one channel in english World News!!! so when you have no entertainment and go to bed you listen to the news.

We were fortunate to have a bath and a shower as we were in a "Superior room" which consists of 2 beds and a couch which pulls out to 2 beds, an empty fridge no tea making facilities 15 floors up, you would think a couple of bottles of water would be put in it? The shower soaked the bathroom and the hallway.  When I pulled staff I was told to throw loads of towels down as they know it happens in all the rooms, not the best idea to do when you have chronic rheumatoid arthritis and slipping everywhere. All in all it's not the worst I have ever stayed in but it comes a very close second, needs re starring should be 2 edging on 3 star. It should be classed as a travelodge as this is not a hotel. 2 lifts on our side of hotel and took ages getting up and down when I spoke to management they said they could not be responsible for children playing in the lifts, what would you expect if there is no entertainment, the children should be entertained not left playing with lifts. 4 staff seem to run the place. I have complained to jet2 and I was told I should have rang emergency number immediately, I didn't class it as an emergency, so if anyone else goes and agrees with me, contact your holiday supplier and let them know, get them to move you to a FOUR STAR HOTEL!!! 6 of us paid £350 plus each for 5 days some people were saying they got it for £200 for a week if you just want to lay your head down, ideal at the right price as there is plenty of entertainment around it. I just was not expecting having to go out on a night looking to be entertained at that cost. Why have all inclusive if nothing is included.
