Reasons for trip

We have just returned from a week’s holiday in Dubrovnik staying at the Grand Hotel Park in Lapad. There are frequent buses to the old town taking about 15 to 20 minutes. This is a fascinating place inside a large circular wall with a number of forts and three entrance gates. It is a real experience to walk the 2kms. of the wall and get a bird’s eye view of the old buildings within – all with beautiful pantile roofs. It is also interesting to walk through the old town’s many streets with churches and museums scattered about, many shops and cafes, and eventually arrive at a delightful harbour where you can sit and watch the local ferries and small tour boats coming in and leaving.
This is a holiday we will always remember.
