For my wife's recent 50th birthday we decided to go to New York as she has always wanted to go there. We took our adult son who has been before and said he would help us find our way around! Having browsed numerous hotels we settled on The Doubletree Suites by Hilton on Times Square. It provided a living area and separate bedroom which gave us more space. On arrival the porter took us to our room and opened the curtains with a flourish. Our view was over Times Square and he informed us that our room was a prime location on New Years Eve as it had a great view of the ball drop. The accommodation was really good with a sofa bed for our son and a separate bedroom for us. Being on times square was amazing and so handy for everything. The staff were friendly and helpful and everytime you visited reception you left with some of their famous cookies. By the time we left we had seen many of the sites but definitely hope to return again and this hotel would be hard to beat.
