French Quarter is designed on New Orleans, and the theming is lovely, a perfect New Orleans where no litter lies, is spotless and you can walk safely all through day and night (theme parks shut at 2.00 am when we were there). Not one of the larger moderate hotels at Disney so no room is too far from food court or bus stop to the Parks. Lifts in all the buildings so accessible for wheelchairs. The staff are excellent and helpful and the rooms were beautifully maintained – two king sized beds, very comfortable mattress, two sinks, low bath and shower, fridge and coffee machine – the housekeeping was also great. Lots of fresh towels, sheets changed every 4 days but can request more frequent/less often. The bus service to all parks is great, never had to wait more than 10 minutes – if wheelchair user the drivers get you on first and secure your chair and then every one else enters. The food court has great choice – breakfast you can have full american style or just muffins or buns, fruit etc. The lunches and dinners could easily be shared – portions are so large. If you get refillable mug ($16) you can use it for whole of the holiday at your hotel – help yourself to soft drinks tea coffee and chocolate whenever you want. The pool and hot tub have hoists if you need to help you in and the life guards are in abundance and actually pay close attention to what is going on – patrolling the area constantly. Gardens are lovely and access to downtown Disney by bus or by a 20 minute boat ride as Port Orleans is on a river/canal. Absolutely beautiful and throughly recommend.
