The Derrin Guest House is an easy walk to parks, seafront and town centre of Larne – and an easy five-minute drive to the ferry port. The house dates back to 1912 – hence spacious rooms, which are clean and freshly decorated. Good strong shower. WiFi worked fine for me in room 5. Had a good welcome from Siebe, including information on the facilities and immediate area. Limited off-road parking has to be pre-booked if required – but parking in this one-way street was readily available during my visit. Would certainly stay here again. I was staying overnight to catch the morning ferry back to Cairnryan so didn’t have time to evaluate Larne as a centre for touring N. Ireland, though it seems to be in easy reach of a number of sites that someone staying longer might want to visit. Webpage is www.derrinhouse.co.uk.
